2020 was the thirtieth anniversary of the formation of OSGUG. For obvious reasons we had to cancel our plans to celebrate this with a lunch. This summer we plan to hold a lunch to celebrate our 33rd anniversary instead.
On Saturday 17th June we will be holding a lunch at Exeter College, Oxford. The Chancellor of Glasgow University, Dame Katherine Grainger has accepted our invitation to attend, and we will use the occasion to present her with a cheque from OSGUG to one of the university’s funds.
We will meet at 1215 in the Rector’s Lodge for some pre-lunch soft drinks. From there we will move to the Dining Hall for lunch at 1300.
The lunch menu will be:
- Pot Roast Chicken, Asparagus, Wild Mushroom and Tarragon Fricassee with a vegetarian option of Quinoa Bolognaise, Wilted Spinach, Garlic Croutons. Both options will be served with a selection of Seasonal Vegetables & Potatoes;
- Followed by: Homemade Lemon Tart, Raspberry Jus with a dairy-free option of a Fresh Fruit Salad;
- There will also be coffee, sparkling and still mineral water.
The cost will £40/head.
